What this site is

This site is an independent, unofficial information guide about the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) in South Africa. It is not NSFAS, and it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or part of NSFAS or the South African government. This site does not process applications, appeals, payments or funding decisions, and it does not offer accounts, registrations, subscriptions or products. Nothing on this site is an official NSFAS communication.

Information only — not advice

The content on this site is general information and explainers. It is not financial, legal or admissions advice. Funding amounts, dates and rules change each cycle; where an article shows figures or dates, it labels the year they belong to. If a decision or deadline matters to you, confirm it with NSFAS directly through the official NSFAS website (nsfas.org.za) or its official contact channels before acting on it.

Using the site
