This website, NSFAS Status Check, is an independent, unofficial guide to NSFAS (see our About Us page). You can email this website at [email protected]. That address reaches the site’s administrators — not NSFAS — so please do not send NSFAS passwords, ID numbers, or banking details to it. If you spot an error, a broken link, or something out of date in one of our guides, please first check whether the guide itself answers your question — most status, application, allowance and payment questions are covered in the guides on this site.

If your question is about your NSFAS funding

This site cannot check your application, change your details, release a payment, or decide an appeal — only NSFAS can do that. For anything about your own application or funding, contact NSFAS directly:

  • Visit the official NSFAS website at nsfas.org.za and sign in to the myNSFAS portal linked from there.
  • Follow the official contact options published on nsfas.org.za — do not use phone numbers or email addresses copied from unofficial pages or social media posts.

Please never share your ID number, NSFAS password, banking details or one-time PIN with any unofficial website, email address or social media account — including anyone claiming to represent this site. NSFAS will never ask you for your password.
